Plant Manager


Manages all operation processes to include production and maintenance in an injection molding facility. The Plant Manager is accountable for the achievement of plan performance objectives and product quality, while constantly striving to create an environment that promotes continuous improvement, teamwork, and pride in workmanship.

Production Management:

Responsible for production operations and the output or quality product in a timely manner.

Recommends improvements to processes, products, services, or procedures.

Participates in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the company quality system and is responsible for improving the quality of products and services provided by the department, including training for same.

Responsible for compliance with outside agencies for safety and environmental concerns.

Works closely with and maintains good working relations with employees in all areas, contractors, and vendors to ensure the plant is maintained in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervises a staff of production supervisors and maintenance personnel and other technical staff

Responsible for training and development of personnel

Staffing levels and labor tracking

Provides coaching and training for employee development to insure that the company’s goals are achieved and/or exceeded

Conducts performance evaluations of direct reports

Maintenance Management:

Responsible for maintenance and repair of all building, vehicles, and equipment, including contract maintenance.

Establish and oversee all contracts pertaining to rental and owned equipment.

Work closely with engineering, quality, materials, and management staff to align maintenance activities with company objectives.

Capital Budget:

Oversees the implementation and monitoring of the annual Capital Expenditure Program budget in relation to plant and equipment, and in conjunction with Product or Program Managers, the installation of new or re-design of old molds or tooling as well as new machinery.
