Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join our client's food manufacturing plant. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in managing the human resources functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, fostering a positive work environment, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and productivity. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Talent Acquisition and Retention:

    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the company culture.
    • Implement retention programs to reduce turnover and improve employee satisfaction.
  2. Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance and resolving conflicts.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
    • Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and implement action plans based on feedback.
  3. Performance Management:

    • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to drive high performance.
    • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee development.
    • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  4. Compliance and Policy Management:

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
    • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
    • Manage employee records and maintain confidentiality.
  5. Compensation and Benefits:

    • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
    • Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.
    • Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  6. Health and Safety:

    • Collaborate with the health and safety team to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Implement health and wellness programs to promote employee well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
