We are seeking a Plant Engineering Manager to lead all aspects of plant production equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, and team leadership within a thriving manufacturing environment. This exciting opportunity involves significant responsibility, including the management of a maintenance staff of 50 personnel, consultation on new projects, and ensuring operational excellence across our facilities. With a focus on talent development and safety, the ideal candidate will bring a robust background in engineering within a manufacturing context, adept at driving efficiency and effectiveness company-wide.
Salary: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consult with the Corporate Director of Facilities to plan and prioritize facility maintenance and new construction projects.
- Interface with external subcontractors to ensure projects align with company standards and timelines.
- Manage and improve Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems, ensuring high availability and reliability of production equipment.
- Oversee plant modifications and support the orchestration of new construction from concept to completion.
- Develop and execute talent development programs to enhance skillsets within the maintenance team.
- Administer the maintenance budget effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Implement and uphold safe-working procedures to maintain a secure work environment for all staff.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Proven experience in plant production equipment maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance and construction processes.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of 50+ personnel in a technical capacity.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Certification or significant experience in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a large manufacturing facility.
- Experience in budget management and cost optimization.
- Proven track record of improving plant safety and production efficiency.
