Plant Controller

The Plant Controller is a business partner with the Plant Manager as well as a member of the plant leadership team which drives the development and attainment of business strategies and goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial close and preparation of financial statements.
• Reconcile all General Ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Create monthly forecasts and annual operating budgets for the plant.
• Support plant operations and the organization to achieve goals and objectives, including the annual operating plan and capital investments.
• Ensures internal controls are in place and being followed for proper accounting and safeguarding of the company’s assets.
• Assist plant leadership in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain working knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and implement yearly standard cost updates.
• Oversee AR, AP, and Purchasing staff.
• Work with external auditors and tax teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing environment as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller.
• Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP.
• Leadership, mentoring, and team building skills.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
