Position Summary

Our client is hiring a Plant Controller (Hybrid – Cleveland, OH) to oversee financial operations for a manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for cost accounting, COGS analysis, variance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and team leadership. The Plant Controller will partner closely with Operations to support production efficiency, cost optimization, and financial accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee plant-level accounting activities including monthly close and reporting
• Prepare and analyze COGS, standard costing, and manufacturing variances
• Support production leaders with financial insights, trend analysis, and performance metrics
• Lead a finance team, providing coaching, development, and performance management
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the plant
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting, cost controls, and adherence to internal controls
• Improve ERP utilization and accuracy across plant systems
• Collaborate with corporate finance on policy alignment, audits, and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong background in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting and variance analysis
• Management experience is required
• Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong communication and ability to partner effectively with plant leadership
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven
