Guided Search Partners (GSP)
Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships.
We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a well-established global manufacturer with a strong footprint across the plastics industry. This Plant Controller role is based at a manufacturing facility in West Virginia and offers the chance to step into a key leadership position supporting both plant performance and day-to-day operations. This opening comes from a long-tenured retirement, which speaks to the stability of the business and the importance of the role. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys being part of the operation, working closely with plant leadership, and using financial insight to help drive better decisions. If you are looking for a role where you can be hands-on, visible, and truly connected to the business, this is that kind of opportunity.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead plant-level financial reporting, month-end close, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Build budgets and help leadership understand plant performance against goals.
  • Analyze costs, labor, productivity, and spending to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner closely with plant leadership on daily operations, cost savings, and performance improvement.
  • Support inventory controls, standard costing, fixed assets, and audit activity.
  • Help translate financial data into clear, useful insight for both plant and corporate teams.

Who You Are

You are a hands-on finance professional who likes being close to the business. You are comfortable working with plant leaders, understanding what is happening on the floor, and turning the numbers into action. You bring strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently. You know how to balance detail with the bigger picture and can communicate well across both operations and finance.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 3–5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analysis, and communication skills.
  • SAP experience is a plus, along with Business Warehouse or HFM/Hyperion exposure.

Why This Role Matters
This is an important role for the plant and a true partner to operations. You will help leadership understand performance, manage costs, and make smarter business decisions. It is also a chance to join a stable organization in a role with visibility, ownership, and real impact. For someone with a strong manufacturing finance background, this is an opportunity to step into a meaningful position and make a difference quickly.
