Planner
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Planner/Estimator to join our team in the aerospace industry. This role will be responsible for planning, estimating, and supporting the execution of aerospace projects, including manufacturing, repair, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering or manufacturing and possess the ability to manage timelines, cost estimations, and resource allocations effectively. This role requires an analytical mindset, strong communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for aerospace manufacturing and maintenance projects. Ensure that plans align with overall project objectives and customer requirements.

Cost Estimation: Estimate the cost of materials, labor, and overhead for aerospace projects. Review project requirements and design specifications to generate accurate cost estimates. Analyze labor and material trends to enhance cost accuracy.

Scheduling and Resource Management: Coordinate and track schedules to ensure project milestones are met. Manage resource allocation effectively to optimize productivity and reduce costs.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential project risks and propose solutions to mitigate these risks. Develop contingency plans and ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, procurement teams, suppliers, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of projects. Assist in the identification and procurement of necessary materials, tools, and equipment.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports related to project planning, estimates, and progress. Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project status, changes, and adjustments to cost or timeline.

Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to current planning and estimating processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.

Experience:
- Proven experience in aerospace planning, cost estimation, or project management.
- Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and materials.
- Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Project, SAP, AutoCAD, or other project management/estimating tools).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of aerospace regulations, standards, and quality assurance processes.
