Physician – Correctional Medicine Full-Time

Location: Secure Institutional Setting Schedule: Full-Time with On-Call

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

  • Provide routine exams, minor surgical procedures, and emergency care

  • Oversee care standards, chart audits, and policy implementation

  • Monitor inpatient admissions and coordinate follow-ups

  • Mentor nursing staff and conduct clinical rounds

  • Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and quality assurance

  • Maintain documentation, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance

  • Respond to medical incidents and emergencies when needed

  • Collaborate with external hospitals and healthcare partners


What You’ll Need

  • MD or DO with current, unrestricted state medical license

  • DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification

  • Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency care preferred

  • Ability to manage complex cases in a structured environment

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Willingness to work in a secure institutional setting
