Physician – Correctional Medicine Full-Time
Location: Secure Institutional Setting Schedule: Full-Time with On-Call

What You’ll Do

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

Provide routine exams, minor surgical procedures, and emergency care
-
Oversee care standards, chart audits, and policy implementation

Monitor inpatient admissions and coordinate follow-ups

Mentor nursing staff and conduct clinical rounds
-
Participate in treatment planning, team meetings, and quality assurance
-
Maintain documentation, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance
-
Respond to medical incidents and emergencies when needed

Collaborate with external hospitals and healthcare partners
What You’ll Need
-
MD or DO with current, unrestricted state medical license
-
DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification

Experience in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency care preferred

Ability to manage complex cases in a structured environment

Strong leadership and communication skills

Willingness to work in a secure institutional setting
