Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions in hospitalized patients.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to formulate individualized care plans.
- Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and assist in various medical procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes, reporting vital information back to the supervising physician to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment possibilities, and preparation for after-discharge care.
- Maintain comprehensive and precise medical records for all patients.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement measures to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must possess a current, valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
- Requires national certification as a Physician Assistant.
- Exhibits exceptional clinical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effective dialogues with patients, families, and medical staff.
