Physician Assistant - Hospitalist Team

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions in hospitalized patients.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to formulate individualized care plans.
  • Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and assist in various medical procedures.
  • Monitor patient progress and outcomes, reporting vital information back to the supervising physician to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment possibilities, and preparation for after-discharge care.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise medical records for all patients.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement measures to enhance patient care and service delivery.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
  • Requires national certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Exhibits exceptional clinical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effective dialogues with patients, families, and medical staff.
