Salary: $83,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate residents' conditions and develop comprehensive physical rehabilitation plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility and relieve pain through exercises, manual therapy, and other techniques.
- Educate and guide residents on the correct use of therapy equipment.
- Monitor residents' progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
- Ensure confidentiality and protect facility operations by adhering to privacy regulations.
- Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants and oversee the compliance with therapy protocols.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts by collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
- Current New York State PT License.
- Ability to handle physical workload and perform physical therapy tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt therapy plans based on resident feedback and changing conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with a diverse group of residents and healthcare professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.
- Demonstrated history of successful patient outcomes in physical therapy.
- Additional certifications in physical therapy specialties.
