Physical Therapist Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on physician referrals

  • Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to restore mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence

  • Treat a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions

  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, recovery expectations, and injury prevention

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and therapy staff to coordinate care plans

  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries

  • Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives


Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy program

  • Current Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure

  • Strong clinical reasoning and patient communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
