Physical Therapist - Hospital Acute Care
Physical Therapist – Acute Care in the Panhandle
Lubbock isn’t just a stop on the map; it’s the heartbeat of the South Plains. We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to join a legacy that has served this community for 125 years. We operate a 450-bed medical center that perfectly balances the grit of a community hospital with the clinical prestige of an academic powerhouse. Whether you’re a Red Raider born and bred or looking for a city where your paycheck actually buys a house with a yard, you’ll find your home here.
The Role & Schedule
We don't believe in the "hamster wheel" of high-volume productivity. We value patient education and meaningful recovery over speed.
Caseload: Lead 5 to 6 evaluations per day across Med/Surg, Ortho, Oncology, Post-Op units
Specialty Paths: Opportunities in the ICU and Cardiac units for seasoned clinicians
The Team: Work alongside a massive support system, including 11 PTs, 5 OTs, and nearly 20 support staff
Work-Life Balance: Consistent Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule
Weekend Rotation: Only one shift every two months with comp days off
Compensation
We know that a great career requires more than just a desk and a badge. We invest in our people:
Compensation: Base salary ranging from $75,000 – $125,000
Student Loan Relief: We contribute $300 every month directly toward your student loans
Wellness: Access to a 24/7 free on-site gym featuring CrossFit classes
New Grad Support: Our buddy system and preceptor program ensure you have a partner for at least 90 days
Community
Lubbock offers the amenities of a major metro area without the soul-crushing traffic of I-35.
Culture: Enjoy a thriving arts district, local wineries, and the energy of a major university town
Community: A deep-rooted, faith-based community where "neighbor" is a verb, not just a noun
Atmosphere: From Buddy Holly’s legacy to West Texas sunsets that turn the sky purple and red, life here moves at a pace that lets you actually breathe
Requirements & Qualifications
Must be a licensed Physical Therapist with Texas license (or eligible)
Experience: Acute care experience is preferred, but New Grads are highly encouraged to apply
Mindset: A great attitude and a desire to work within a large, collaborative team
Growth: A drive to pursue specialty certifications or leadership roles is a plus
Visa Status: H1B Visa Sponsorship is not available at this time
