Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Manager, Pharmacy Operations oversees all aspects of pharmacy operations including patient clinical and distributive services, patient-centered clinic based pharmacy services, and specialty outpatient pharmacy services. Manages the integration of clinical pharmacy services, drug utilization programs, and pharmacy operations throughout the organization. Manages the activities of pharmacists with a goal of lowering costs associated with the organization's drug utilization. Ensures medication use is aligned with evidence-based best practices and regulatory standards by directly managing medication safety systems, regulatory compliance initiatives, patient quality services, and disease outcomes programs. Actively functions as a member of clinical pharmacy practice and interdisciplinary teams by facilitating, integrated operational services, pharmacist interventions, and medication therapy management to patients with a broad range of disease states. Develops departmental initiatives that focus on employee engagement, process improvement, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Acts as a resource and facilitates collaboration between team members and other healthcare disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community.
This position will cover 5 Critical Access Hospitals pertaining to Hematology/Oncology Services, an Ambulatory Clinic and Regional Cancer Center.
Job Qualifications:
Education Required:
- BS or PharmD
Preferred:
- Masters
Licensure Required:
- Pharmacist
Experience Required:
- 5 years clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology
Additional Skills:
- Board Certified in Oncology and/or Residency in Oncology
- Knowledge of USP standards
- Business Acumen in the area of Oncology
