PHARMACIST – SOUTHWEST SASKATCHEWAN

Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been retained by Pioneer Coop to recruit a full-time Pharmacist in Southwest Saskatchewan. The selected candidate will provide professional advice, counselling, and expertise to patients regarding prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, medical conditions, and a patient’s overall health. They will also provide leadership and guidance to Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants to help ensure an efficient and customer service focus is delivered to clients.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE PHARMACIST

The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing, counseling and all other related practices of pharmaceutical care including administering injections. You will interact with other professionals to ensure optimal patient care and assist in developing and coordinating patient care functions, such as medication reviews and patient care-oriented activities. You will also dispense prescriptions in accordance with all professional and legal standards and abide by all regulations and policies in the control, safekeeping and sale of drugs, including return and/or disposal of outdated stock.

WORK SCHEDULE

This a full-time position with a client who offers flexible hours to accommodate personal needs. Shift rotations are required.

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS EXCITING OPPORTUNITY?

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.Phm.) or a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution.
  • Previous pharmacy experience is an asset but not required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are required.
  • An injection certification and current licensure in good standing with relevant provincial College of Pharmacists is required.
