Position Responsibilities:
A leading provider of bulk tank transportation services across petroleum, fuel, lubricants, & propane. In business for 40 years they currently distribute more than 130 million gallons of fuel annual with a carrier group that includes 15 trucks. They employ over 300 team members within their retail division that operates 22 co-branded sites. Holding customer care as their highest mission they are precise, focused, and play close attention to detail through utilizing their state-of-the-art system.
The Petroleum Transportation Manager will oversee a team of 40+ employees including drivers, shop mechanics & technicians, and dispatchers across terminals. Their focus will be to provide daily hands-on direction, oversight, and implementation for all company refined transport & logistics. They will directly oversee the budgeting & P&L while working to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction through achieving best-in-class efficiency, operational execution, utilization, and team engagement. The leader will develop & update policies, programs, and procedures for the transportation systems in order to maintain full compliance with all company, DOT, OSHA, & FMCSA guidelines.

  • Driver recruitment, management, hiring, & training
  • Customer/Client Management (internal & common carriers)
  • DOT & FMCSA regulation and safety standards (Hazmat)
  • Accident & spill prevention & clean-up
  • Driver recruiting & retention
  • Accident prevention, reporting, & corrective actions
  • Transportation technology (i.e. Truckmate or Truckmate Intermodal)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Location: Sherman, TX
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Petroleum Transportation
  • Maintenance Management
  • ELD compliance
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain)
