Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in personal injury cases, managing client files, and assisting with litigation preparation. This role requires strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of personal injury law, and the ability to interact effectively with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage case files from intake through settlement or trial

  • Conduct initial client interviews and gather necessary documentation

  • Draft and file legal documents such as complaints, answers, discovery requests/responses, motions, and settlement agreements

  • Coordinate and schedule medical appointments, depositions, mediations, and court dates

  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines and court dates are met

  • Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and expert witnesses

  • Summarize medical records and prepare medical chronologies

  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation and document management

  • Monitor statutes of limitations and other critical deadlines


Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent in paralegal studies; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury law

  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and case management systems

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, Needles, MyCase)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (e.g., Spanish/English) a plus

  • Experience in both pre-litigation and litigation phases

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and record review
