Personal Injury Law Clerk
Job Description
Our client is a fast-growing personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Law Clerk to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, communication, and computer skills, be highly organized, and capable of multitasking and working independently in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to a busy personal injury practice, managing files from initiation to settlement/decision.
- Draft legal documents, including Statements of Claim, Motions, Affidavits, and routine correspondence.
- Organize files and documentation using CLIO.
- Provide training and oversight to junior clerks.
- Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support.
- Handle Accident Benefits files.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Law Clerk.
- Strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
- Proficiency in CLIO and solid technical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS).
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
