We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Perioperative Nurse Manager to lead our dynamic team in Los Angeles, CA. This pivotal role involves managing the clinical operations of our unit, ensuring that the highest quality of care is delivered to our patients. You will be overseeing staffing, payroll, budgeting, and quality improvement, ensuring that all operations align with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Salary: $165,000 – $205,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the perioperative unit, including clinical practice standards, staffing, payroll, and fiscal management.
- Ensure the highest quality of care is provided in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop and implement action plans to foster staff development and performance improvement.
- Monitor the allocation and utilization of personnel, adapting to continual changes in patient needs to maintain optimal levels of patient care.
- Oversee unit-specific safety programs and risk management, minimizing hazards and maintaining a safe environment for staff and patients.
- Work collaboratively with external health care providers to ensure comprehensive and continuous patient care.
- Resolve concerns raised by patients or their family members regarding the care provided.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
- At least two (2) years of leadership experience as a charge nurse or in a similar role.
- Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License in California required at the time of hire.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Proven experience in quality improvement and clinical care delivery processes.
- Familiarity with the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- ACLS certification.
- Experience in training or educational roles such as Preceptor or Trainer.
- Experience working in a union environment.
- Strong, positive, patient communication style and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Ability to swiftly resolve challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
