What you will be doing as the Payroll Specialist:

  • Responsible for payroll for 1500 employees, both hourly and salary.
  • Review and processing of payroll adjustment forms for US and Canadian payrolls.
  • Review and acceptance of employee self-service changes for US and Canadian payrolls.
  • Review and acceptance of comp/position changes for US and Canadian payrolls.
  • Review US and Canadian timecards for errors and communicate with management to resolve.
  • Process benefit corrections and updates for US and Canadian payrolls.
  • Process garnishments: Answer data requests, add payee to Dayforce, apply garnishment to Employee Dayforce file, answer debtor information requests.
  • Setup pay cards, process Final pay for US and Canadian payrolls (based on state regs.)
  • Collect final deductions
  • Payout remaining accruals.
  • Wire/same day pay for California.
  • Run and process concur expense data for US and Canadian payrolls.
  • Process deposit rejections and updates for US and Canadian payrolls.

What you will need as the Payroll Specialist:

  • GED, High School diploma preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in payroll field
  • Experience with Canadian payroll, preferred.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Interpersonal skills
  • Strong Skills in Teamwork & Collaboration.
  • Strong External Customer Service Skills.
  • Strong Analytical thinking Skills.
  • Self Management Skills.
  • Ability to Work under Pressure and to Manage Deadlines.
