Role Overview

The Payroll Specialist will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a 300+ employee workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across multiple pay frequencies. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in UKG, strong reconciliation skills, and a background in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile weekly payroll for hourly employees and semi-monthly payroll for salaried staff
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and support audits and internal controls
  • Manage employee data changes, deductions, and benefits integrations
  • Prepare and review payroll reports, ensuring accuracy across pay, tax, and deduction fields
  • Collaborate closely with HR and Accounting teams on journal entries, accruals, and compliance
  • Address employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion
  • Support year-end reporting, W-2 processing, and payroll tax filings

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of UKG (UKG Pro or Dimensions)
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency (pivot tables, reconciliations, lookups)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage confidential data
