This company is expanding rapidly and looking for a proactive payroll professional ready to take ownership in a highly visible role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process payroll for both salaried and hourly employees across multiple pay cycles

  • Oversee payroll operations for a workforce of 3,000+ employees with continued growth

  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies

  • Lead payroll integration for newly acquired companies, ensuring smooth system transitions and employee experience

  • Maintain and enhance payroll operations leveraging Ceridian Dayforce for accuracy and efficiency

  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to streamline processes, align policies, and resolve complex payroll issues

  • Audit payroll records regularly to identify and correct discrepancies, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance

  • Manage employee payroll inquiries, delivering timely and professional resolution to maintain trust and satisfaction

  • Oversee benefits, deductions, and garnishments to ensure proper setup and processing

  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to support leadership decision-making and financial planning

  • Support annual audits, tax filings, and reporting requirements, collaborating with external auditors and agencies

  • Develop and implement payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to strengthen internal controls

  • Train and mentor payroll team members to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to deadlines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably in mid-to-large sized organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related fields
  • Proven experience with multi-state payroll and high-volume pay runs
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and compliance
  • Proficiency in Ceridian Dayforce or similar payroll systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with executive leadership
