Calling All Payroll Specialists!!!

Our Client is a major player in the property management space. They have grown to include a complete range of Real Estate Services include Residential Rentals, Real Estate Brokerage, Property Management, Financial Services, and Construction and Development. As they continue to grow, they are now seeking a Payroll Administrator to help with transition of the payroll systems. We are looking to add a Payroll Administrator in both Ottawa and Montreal on a temporary or full time basis.

The role of the Payroll Administrator will be to assist with the transition from ADP to Dayforce. With a large payroll, but not a complex payroll, you will be part of a larger payroll team and collaborate with the HR group to ensure accuracy in the payroll function. Your role will report to the Payroll Manager and would include: assisting with all government payroll remittances, coordinating the data transition for implementation, acting as the point of contact for employees for any payroll discrepancies or questions and reconciliation of month end payroll. The Payroll Administrator would also assist with administering the benefits program and collaborate with the insurance providers as required. As a member of the larger HR team, you will help with any documentation relating to employee transfer, pay increases or promotions and onboarding new employees with the utmost discretion and assist with any other HR related special projects.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience handling payroll entry. You will have some exposure to either ADP or Dayforce, but your proven attention to detail and accuracy and managing payroll information is critical. Familiarity with cross provincial payroll legislation would be a huge asset, and understanding of hourly, salaries and contract payrolls would be highly desirable. We are looking for someone who understands the discretion and sensitivity of payroll and embraces the tight deadlines surrounding the function. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to get into a payroll team and gain mentorship along the way. You will have a chance to be part of a system implementation and flex your strong passion for technical efficiencies. We are currently looking for someone in both Ottawa & Montreal. Bilingualism is required for the Montreal location.
