A growing, independent, non-profit regional medical center in Tennessee is seeking an experienced Patient Financial Services Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for a critical Revenue Cycle department.

• Lead a team of 40+ FTEs

Responsibilities

• Lead Patient Financial Services operations, including hospital billing, patient accounting, collections, insurance follow-up, denials management, and accounts receivable
• Improve cash collections, denial performance, clean claim rates, DNFB, and other key Revenue Cycle metrics
• Develop and mentor department leaders
• Strengthen communication, accountability, consistency, and employee engagement
• Partner with executive leadership to improve operational and financial performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years of progressive hospital based Patient Financial Services / Revenue Cycle experience
• 3+ years of leadership experience within an acute care hospital
• Strong knowledge of hospital billing, reimbursement, denials, collections, patient accounting, and Revenue Cycle operations
• Proven success improving KPIs and leading process improvement initiatives
