Patent and IP Litigation Associate - Electrical/Computer Sciences

An AmLaw 150 firm is actively seeking both an entry-level associate and an experienced associate (3+ years) to join our dynamic team in patent and other intellectual property litigation. Salary: $150,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret patent claims and technical documents to prepare legal arguments.
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs in complex litigation cases.
  • Engage directly in trial preparation and courtroom activities under the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Coordinate with technical experts to align litigation strategy with technical insights.
  • Conduct pre-trial depositions and examinations of witnesses.
  • Perform legal research and remain current with developments in intellectual property law.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a State Bar and eligibility to practice law.
  • Strong academic credentials, particularly in law school performance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in patent and IP litigation.
  • Experience in federal court or before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Additional technical or science degrees.
  • Experience handling multiple complex cases simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with software and emerging technologies.
