An AmLaw 150 firm is actively seeking both an entry-level associate and an experienced associate (3+ years) to join our dynamic team in patent and other intellectual property litigation. Salary: $150,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret patent claims and technical documents to prepare legal arguments.
- Prepare legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs in complex litigation cases.
- Engage directly in trial preparation and courtroom activities under the guidance of senior attorneys.
- Coordinate with technical experts to align litigation strategy with technical insights.
- Conduct pre-trial depositions and examinations of witnesses.
- Perform legal research and remain current with developments in intellectual property law.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to a State Bar and eligibility to practice law.
- Strong academic credentials, particularly in law school performance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in patent and IP litigation.
- Experience in federal court or before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
- Additional technical or science degrees.
- Experience handling multiple complex cases simultaneously.
- Familiarity with software and emerging technologies.
