AmLaw150 firm, based in Newark, NJ, is looking for a passionate Intellectual Property Associate to join our robust patent and IP litigation team. Salary: $250,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage actively in patent litigation cases, providing both strategic and tactical insight.
- Contribute to all phases of trial preparation and execution.
- Draft and prepare substantive motions and responses as required throughout the litigation lifecycle.
- Work closely with tech experts and witnesses to prepare case testimonials and evidence.
- Conduct and manage patent landscapes and prior art searches to support case strategies.
- Collaborate with team members across the firm to ensure a comprehensive approach to client needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in IP law and related practice areas.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- 2-4 years of experience in patent litigation within a recognized law firm.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues.
- Admission to practice law in the United States; NJ Bar admission preferred.
- Experience with tech-related litigation preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trial experience in federal or state courts.
- Detailed knowledge and technical expertise in various high-tech industries.
- Exposure to international patent laws and litigation.
- Proven record of strategic planning and successful outcomes in previous IP cases.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster client relationships and work within diverse teams.
