Patent Litigation Associate - Philadelphia

An AmLaw 100 firm in Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Junior Patent Litigation Associate to join their Intellectual Property Practice Group. This role offers the chance to defend complex patent litigation cases in a dynamic, supportive environment aimed at professional growth and high-level client interaction. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of experienced attorneys to develop legal strategies, handle trial preparations, and ensure effective client representation in high-profile cases.

Salary: $235,000.00 - $260,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defend clients in complex patent litigation matters across various industries.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Draft, review, and file key litigation documents including motions, briefs, and memoranda.
  • Participate actively in discovery processes, including managing document reviews, conducting depositions, and preparing expert witnesses.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to formulate litigation strategies and trial preparations.
  • Manage case timelines, court deadlines, and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure excellent client service and communication, maintaining client relationships.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Bar Admission in Pennsylvania.
  • 2–3 years of experience in sophisticated patent litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience in a large law firm setting.
  • Background in intellectual property law and technology-related legal issues.
