A well-established and growing hospitality group is seeking a senior culinary leader to oversee operations at one of its flagship, high-volume dining destinations in Upstate New York. This dynamic property features multiple restaurants, diverse dining concepts, and extensive catering for high-profile events. With exciting growth and development underway, this is an opportunity to elevate consistency, efficiency, and innovation across the culinary program.
The Pastry Chef will oversee daily pastry operations, direct production, and ensure seamless execution of desserts and baked goods that elevate the guest experience. Partnering closely with the Executive Pastry Chef, this leader will manage recipe development, menu innovation, and the creation of visually striking presentations. The role requires hands-on technical expertise in chocolate décor, sugar work, Viennese displays, and wedding cake design, coupled with the ability to mentor and inspire a talented pastry team.
Compensation & Benefits: $90,000 - $120,000 (Commensurate with experience) + annual performance bonus, comprehensive health benefits, 401k with company match, PTO, dining discounts, relocation assistance, and more.

Must-Haves
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory pastry/bakery experience in a multi-outlet setting.
- Proven ability to lead teams in high-volume, multi-outlet environments.
- Expertise in pastry production, chocolate décor, sugar work, Viennese displays, and wedding cake design.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to make decisions in high-pressure situations.
- ServSafe Certification required.
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts, Baking, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos; Micros experience preferred.
- Oversee daily pastry operations across shops and outlets to ensure exceptional guest service.
- Lead and mentor staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to standards.
- Develop and implement recipes, menus, and special items tailored to guest preferences.
- Maintain budgeted food costs while ensuring quality, creativity, and consistency.
- Manage scheduling and labor costs in line with business demands.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation codes, food safety, and resort policies.
- Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef on recipe documentation and menu innovation.
- Produce and present high-quality desserts and baked goods for restaurants, catering, and special events.
