We are partnering with a prestigious historic hotel in Richmond, VA to find an exceptional Pastry Chef. This elegantly appointed property features a full-service restaurant, Grab n Go cafe, in-room dining, and banquet/catering program. Located in a prime location near upscale shopping destinations. We seek a visionary culinary leader who can take full ownership of the Baking and pastry program. This unique opportunity offers complete creative freedom to shape the culinary direction and establish a distinctive dining experience.

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience) + discretionary bonus, comprehensive healthcare 100% covered, and a great PTO plan.

Requirements:

  • Trained Pastry Chef
  • Minimum of 3 years of pastry production (both a la carte and banquet)
  • Creative and innovative
  • Proven Ability to manage others
  • Ability to assist on the Savory line as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations by monitoring service standards, conducting floor walks, and engaging with guests
  • Ability to produce a variety of products without training (bread, pastry, ice cream & sorbet and decorated cakes)
  • Manage costs through inventory control, food cost analysis, and labor optimization
  • Maintain compliance with health codes, safety standards, and alcohol regulations - implement cleaning schedules, proper documentation, and regular staff training.
