Job Description: Part-Time Payroll Assistant

Principal Accountability of the PT Payroll Assistant:


To process weekly payroll, invoice clients, prepare reports and participate in achieving the overall goals of the office.

Essential Payroll Functions:

1. Process Payroll
2. Onboarding and Termination
3. Garnishments
4. Invoice Clients

Additional Functions:

1. Prepare weekly report
2. Maintains confidentiality of all processed documents.
3. Provides Office Clerical Support
4. Maintains files, records, and reports as directed.


Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend various employment-related documents ad materials.
  • Must have the ability to perform the basic math functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Must have basic computer skills and the ability to operate accurately and quickly the telephone system, fax machines, and other standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to work with a wide range of personalities in a courteous, effective, and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
  • QuickBooks experience preferred but not required.

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Schedule

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (8am-5pm)

Compensation

  • $17/hour
