Part-Time Associate Medical Director, PM&R

We are seeking an exceptional Part-Time PM&R Physician to take on a pivotal role as an Associate Medical Director at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in St. Joseph, Missouri. This role is designed for individuals passionate about inpatient rehabilitation and leadership in a multidisciplinary team setting. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to influence patient care strategies and outcomes while maintaining a work-life balance with a three-day work week.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and contributions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients with strokes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other neuromusculoskeletal disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and case managers to craft and execute personalized treatment plans.
  • Ensure the highest standards of care are maintained across the facility by adhering to evidence-based practices and fulfilling regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor facility staff, promoting a culture focused on excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Engage in administrative roles including, but not limited to, strategic planning, performance improvement initiatives, and oversight of patient outcomes.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Active medical license in Missouri or eligibility for licensure.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in patient-centered care and adherence to evidence-based medical practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a leadership or medical directorship role, preferably within a rehabilitation setting.
  • Proven track record of improving clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Advanced training or specialization in neuromusculoskeletal or similar complex rehabilitation cases.
