Position Title: Paralegal II

An established and respected Midland-based practice serving individuals and businesses across West Texas. We combine trial-ready advocacy with practical, business-minded counsel across complex civil disputes, oil & gas matters, probate and fiduciary litigation, small-business disputes, and select criminal defense.

Position Summary

Paralegal II is a senior-level paralegal responsible for experienced case coordination, routine document preparation, and high-level administrative execution within defined parameters. This role supports attorneys by maintaining strong case organization, deadline management, and workflow reliability, while also guiding legal secretaries as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required (paralegal certificate strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant legal support experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting standards

Key Performance Expectations

  • Billable Hours: None set (may be billable depending on firm model)
  • Client service accuracy, timeliness, and workflow consistency

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate case files, deadlines, and procedural workflows
  • Prepare routine legal documents under attorney direction
  • Support attorneys with document review, compilation, and filing preparation
  • Maintain case organization standards and ensure completeness of files
  • Communicate with clients for updates and coordination as assigned
  • Assist in preparation for hearings, trials, and mediations

Business Development Responsibilities

  • N/A – Client service focus

Leadership, Supervision & Mentoring

  • Guides Legal Secretaries on workflow, priorities, and administrative execution
  • Serves as an operational resource for junior staff
