Paper Machine Assistant Superintendent

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Paper Machine Assistant Superintendent to provide leadership, daily support and technical expertise to the team.

The ideal candidate will have pulp or paper mill and paper machine leadership experience along with the ability to coach, train and develop staff, implement and improve processes and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization including senior management.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 5+ years of experience working in a pulp or paper mill
• 5+years of paper machine leadership experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience developing and implementing improvement processes and projects
• Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend duty

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 8+years of progressive leadership experience with direct reports in a paper machine operation
• 3+ years of experience as a superintendent or higher in a paper machine operation
• Experience working in a Process Safety Management (PSM) covered facility
• Experience with CMMS and PI
• Process control experience
