Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients with sensory-motor and/or musculoskeletal disorders/delays, demonstrating knowledge of normal growth and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate services. This may include recommendations for equipment to maximize performance.
- Organize, develop, implement and coordinate motor performance of patient care with other clinic disciplines and resources within the community, including discharge planning via charting. This includes patient/family teaching for appropriate function within the home and implementation of home programs.
- Instruct patients and care givers in home programs for exercises and functional activities.
- Maintain appropriate clinical and administrative records within the Electronic Medical Records system regarding patient’s care.
- Critically analyzes patient response to treatment and modifies as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy (CAPTE).
- Must have a current, valid Arizona license issued by the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
- American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) certification preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with AED.
- Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered.
