An established healthcare organization in the Boston area is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join its team.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time Monday–Friday schedule
• 8 a.m.–5 p.m. shifts
• No nighttime or weekend call
• Provide comprehensive orthopedic evaluations, histories and physical exams
• Manage your own patient panel in clinic
• Assist orthopedic surgeons with surgical procedures in the operating room
• Provide pre- and post-operative care, including inpatient rounding and discharge planning
• Order and interpret X-rays, MRI, CT scans and laboratory studies
• Perform joint injections, splinting, casting and basic wound care
• Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences and patient education
• First call from 7 a.m.–6 p.m. during hospital shift coverage
• Collaborative team focused on personalized, comprehensive patient care

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Orthopedic, surgical or hospital experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork and communication skills
