A regional public accounting firm in Reston VA is hiring for an Outsourced Accounting Controller to manage a portfolio of government contracting clients. Must have experience overseeing a team of 4-6 staff and extensive CAS compliance experience within government contracting. There is no business development component to this opportunity.

A regional public accounting firm in Reston VA is hiring for an Outsourced Accounting Controller to manage a portfolio of government contracting clients. Must have experience overseeing a team of 4-6 staff and extensive CAS compliance experience within government contracting. There is no business development component to this opportunity.
Duties:
- Client management - full outsourced accounting/tax, indirect rate calculations, rate audits, DCAA compliance, etc
- Review and oversight of staff/senior accountants work, and coordination of resource planning
- Advise on FAR and CAS provisions and US GAAP recommendations based on prime/subprime status
- Assist with accounting and billing effects of contract types such as T&M, FFP and CP
- Perform assessments of accounting systems such as Unanet, Procas and QuickBooks
- BS in Accounting with CPA license
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm providing outsourced accounting services to government contractors
- Leadership experience with teams of 4-6 projects and staff
- Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Locality to Reston VA
