Job Summary:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with both prospective and existing clients within the technical and manufacturing sectors. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for business growth and executing strategies to drive NETA services sales within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand the customer base and consistently achieve or surpass individual and company-wide sales targets within the designated region.
- Develop and sustain relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, end-users, and utility companies. Proactively reach out to current, former, and potential customers, conducting regular visits to strengthen business connections.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors, internal business leaders, and strategic partners, leveraging these connections to provide customers with optimal value and support.
- Utilize industry expertise to present technical and practical solutions to both internal and external stakeholders, advising clients on their electrical solution needs.
- Drive sales of NETA services
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and accurate processing of customer transactions.
- Coordinate service-related activities for customers.
- Schedule services, prepare necessary documentation for field service teams, and clearly communicate service expectations and project details.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to the trade area, working closely with sales leadership and business unit managers. Attend and support relevant industry events and trade shows.
- Participate in regional sales and budget planning initiatives.
- Oversee timely delivery of materials to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct site visits and walk-throughs to support accurate and profitable quoting.
- Organize and prioritize client work efficiently, generating work orders for technicians.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer service when interacting with clients, identifying opportunities to expand project scope and negotiating additional charges when applicable.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of various electrical switchgear brands, control products, and electrical distribution systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA. Experience with high-voltage equipment up to the 230 kV class is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities.
- Proven track record in sales, including lead generation, sales development, and relationship management.
- Sales experience in the utility and industrial markets is a strong asset.
- Strong negotiation skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM software is preferred.
Additional Information:
Compensation: Base salary (90k-110k) with an uncapped commission structure. Negotiable for the right candidate

Physical Demands:
This position involves both office-based and fieldwork responsibilities. Candidates must be capable of lifting at least 50 lbs regularly, as well as crawling, climbing, and standing for extended periods, often in challenging environments.
