General Requirements

We are currently seeking a top-tier, Outside Sales Professional to manage and grow our well established market in Virginia and the Carolinas.​ The primary areas of focus for this position are main metropolitan areas within the States of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. ​ Candidates ideally should live within this targeted area to make travel most efficient. ​ Sales efforts will be a combination of growing existing accounts and pursuing new business, with emphasis on the Public Safety market. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in acquiring, maintaining and penetrating major accounts and developing relationships at all key levels.​ This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales.​ The candidate must be self-driven and willing to travel in order to effectively cover the territory.​ If you are a top performer and are looking for a long-term stable company with great earning potential to advance your career, then we invite you to apply for this position of Outside Sales Representative.​

Essential Duties

  • Actively manage and grow an established territory that includes a pre-existing customer base and an extensive list of leads and opportunities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive territory business plan that is updated quarterly
  • Prospect and develop new end-user relationships with key decision makers, focused primarily on Law Enforcement and Public Safety agencies ​
  • Create new avenues for growing business where our products could be utilized
  • Solidify and expand business partnerships with our key dealer network
  • Build Our Brand through cooperative efforts with top dealers and by networking through local and area professional associations
  • Study and learn Our product line to effectively demonstrate and explain important product features and the benefits to customers
  • Forecast inventory demands tied to key customers and programs
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
  • Assist in the development and implementation of customized programs for large accounts
  • Work closely and effectively communicate with internal support departments

Job Requirements and Skill Set

  • 3+ ​years of outside sales experience with a proven track record of success managing and growing a large territory/​customer base
  • Industry experience is not required
  • Entrepreneurial go-getter spirit with strong business acumen and desire to compete and win
  • Energetic, hard-working team player who can also thrive working independently
  • Organization and effective time management skills to cover a large geographic territory
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
