Outside Sales Engineer (10926)

Who They Are
We've partnered with a private equity-backed market leader for Air Distribution products in the New England market. To support company growth, they are looking for an outside sales engineer to capture market share for their contractor business. This person will have a direct hand in working with some of the biggest contractor groups in the New England area, while ramping up to be able to earn top-end industry commission.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and accounts.
  • Provide timely equipment selections, pricing, and scheduling information.
  • Promote the features and benefits of the company's products.
  • Prepare equipment takeoffs and bid proposals tailored to project requirements.
  • Submit detailed documentation for customer approval.
  • Develop technical solutions and resolve customer issues throughout the sales process.
  • Create action plans to target new accounts and grow sales within existing ones.
  • Collaborate with manufacturer engineers and customer service to ensure excellent support.
  • Conduct sales tracking, including opportunities, forecasts, and results.
  • Maintain accurate records of project details, orders, costs, and schedules.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites and attend training seminars and sales meetings.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and integrity in all activities.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in the HVAC industry
  • Preferred sales experience in the Eastern Massachusetts territory.
  • Solid technical knowledge of HVAC systems and air-side HVAC product applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with PC use.
