Job Description
Established in 1993, our client is a privately owned manufacturing company supplying SANS approved kerbs, concrete paving bricks and slabs as well as retaining wall systems. They also have branches in Gauteng and the Northwest.
They are recruiting for an experienced Outbound Sales Office Assistant to join their growing team based in Gqeberha (formerly known as Port Elizabeth).
Introduction
Internal sales support is like a Formula 1 Race. You have your driver (External Sales Representative) who is on the race track. This driver has the support of his Pit Crew (Internal Sales support). The Pit Crew is constantly in contact with the driver, to make him aware of what is happening on the track, and update him with status. They inform him, when it is time to come into the Pits to change tyres. The Pit Crew make sure they are prepared for the Driver (Tyres, Spares). Once the Driver stops at the Pits, the Pit Crew change the tyres, and make sure the car is in order to continue the race. The focus of the Pit Crew is to act and perform as quick as possible to keep
the Driver in his current position. When the driver is delayed and drops in passion, the whole team feels it, at the same time when the Driver stands on the Podium with his winning trophies, it is not only the Driver who is the Winner but the whole team.

- Assist Senior Generic Reps, Specifier and their customers telephonically with all queries
- Follow up with main contractors on awarded projects in CRM to find out if they will purchase themselves or use a subcontractor
- Follow up on leads with our customer, (pricing in conjunction with senior sales rep) and plan forward activities in CRM calendar (Subject must include Rep-code)
- Take full responsibility of the overdue orders report for their team
- No orders can sit in the past
- Update orders on a daily basis with correct delivery dates
- Make line notes on each order with every change so we build up a history
- Need to understand the projects and know when the contractor needs the stock on site
- Make sure we do have stock available for required delivery dates. If we do not have stock available, make your line manager aware of this
- Credit available for order. Follow up on cash payments
- Proper site address & site contact details
- Order must be on the correct priority field
- Transport schedule
- When receiving the transport schedule at 14h00 in the afternoon, you need to go
through the delivery schedule and make sure all is in order for delivery the next
day - If there is a hold payment, over credit limit or hold stock on the delivery
schedule. You need to follow up and follow through in order to make sure we do
deliver the next day
