Construction Production Manager
Performance Deliverables
Leadership and Influence:
• Be a leader in the company by communicating the vision for operational strategy and the FP&A.
• Be an example of the company core values and the key influencer of a positive performance culture that accepts accountability and retains “A” players
• Design and Implement key company process to improve the performance of the Construction Division.
• Understand, Implement, and hold teams accountable to following the Beacon Standards and Process.
Project & Production Management:
• Effectively take ownership of each customer by ensuring management of the following:
o Sales to Production Handoff – Ensure timely meetings with sales to take over management of the customer and completely understand all projects scope of work and customer expectations.
o Schedule Management – Communicate start date ranges weekly to sales team, communicate start dates with customer no longer than (7) days after initial sale, manage customer expectations around weather, schedule, equipment availability, etc. Continuously give sales team feedback on project backlog and forecast.
o Customer Issues / Problem Solving – Manage all customer issues, timely return of inquiries and ensure problem resolution.
o Timely Collection of all payments – Keeping customers up to date on project milestones and expectations for payment.
o Overall Customer Satisfaction - Ensure that work is completed in alignment with company standards and customers sign off on the work confirming they are satisfied.
• Achieve Gross Margin as outlined in budget plan.
• Coordinate purchasing and subcontractors with assistance from the Superintendent to achieve quality standards and meet budget.
• Partner with the Superintendent(s) to ensure that we have a qualified team of “A” level players in the field positions through proper onboarding, coaching, and professional development.
• Provide feedback to sales and estimating team to establish process improvement, production and estimating assemblies and order of operations.
• Effectively administer change orders with completeness and accuracy.
• Take full ownership of upsells and enhancements.
• Partner with Superintendent and Fleet / Facilities manager to manage over the Beacon yard / facility to maximize storage, maintain organization and improve GP.
• Partner with Fleet & Facilities manager to manage vehicles and equipment in the construction department to ensure accountability, proper use and maintenance while achieving budget goals on related expenses.
