Responsibilities
- The Plant Operations supervisor will provide direct leadership for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Operations Unit.
- Lead shift teams to achieve production, safety, environmental, quality, and reliability objectives.
- Champion process safety, behavioral safety, and compliance with plant operating procedures.
- Communicate production priorities, plant goals, operating expectations, and performance standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop operators through daily feedback, training, work assignments, and performance evaluations.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across all operating crews.
- Coordinate daily operating activities to maximize production while maintaining safe operating conditions.
- Monitor process performance and work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, Laboratory, and EHS teams to resolve operating issues.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on cost, reliability, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Regional candidates preferred. $120K-$150K.
- The Plant Operations Supervisor will have a BS, AS or high school diploma and 10+ years of experience in chemical plant manufacturing.
- Leadership, supervision, or shift leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of chemical plant operations, process safety, environmental compliance, and emergency response.
- Working knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and safe work practices.
- Experience leading hourly operations personnel in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of production operations, quality systems, continuous improvement, and plant reliability principles.
- Experience using SAP or similar CMMS/ERP systems along with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
