Operations Manager
Our client is a well-established, locally owned wealth management and investment advisory firm with a proud 50+ year history of helping New Zealanders build and protect their wealth.
They are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join their professional, forward-thinking team. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of daily operations while supporting marketing and communications strategy.
You’ll work closely with advisers, the administration team, and leadership to enhance systems and service delivery. This role suits someone who thrives on variety, takes initiative, and enjoys making lasting improvements across operations and marketing functions.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day office and administrative functions.
- Ensure seamless back-office support for advisers and clients.
- Manage business systems (CRM, financial planning software, workflow tools).
- Maintain and improve internal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report on key operational performance indicators.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support the administration team.
- Manage workloads and resource allocation to optimise productivity.
- Facilitate team meetings and regular performance reviews.
Compliance & Risk
- Support compliance with FMA, AML/CFT, and FAP licensing requirements.
- Work alongside the Compliance Manager to align operations with regulatory standards.
Marketing & Brand Oversight
- Assist with the development and execution of marketing strategies.
- Manage website content and ensure a strong digital presence.
- Oversee social media and digital campaigns.
- Maintain brand consistency across all client-facing material.
Client Communications
- Coordinate newsletters, announcements, and email campaigns.
- Develop engaging and educational client content.
- Maintain a consistent and professional tone across communication channels.
- Support adviser-led events and community engagement.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
- Regularly review and refine internal workflows.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Key Relationships
- Internal:Advisers, Admin Team, Managing Director, Compliance Manager
- External:Clients, Vendors, Website Developers
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in operations, office management, or similar leadership roles.
- Experience in marketing and communications, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Knowledge of New Zealand’s financial services and regulatory landscape is advantageous.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including CRM systems, websites, and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
