Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and efficiency focused individual to join our team. This role is crucial to maintaining our high standards, while ensuring our business continues to expand and progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain a strong understanding of the niche market we’re in and the products we offer
  • Contribute to the management team’s strategic planning and take the lead on implementation
  • Develop an understanding of our quoting system and the information required to produce an accurate quote
  • Streamline business operations while ensuring quality control
  • Budget development, forecasting and reporting to management team
  • Establish a strategy for risk analysis and mitigation
  • Create and implement a marketing plan, including brand development and market positioning
  • Oversight and maintenance of our website/promotional materials
  • Familiarize yourself with our existing client base and how we customize our products to suit their needs
  • Attend conferences and trade shows
  • Some travel into the U.S. as well as day trips to visit clients within the province

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field
  • 5 years’ experience in management or leadership position within an engineering, manufacturing or technical services environment
  • Strong ability to grasp engineering concepts specific to the water resource management industry
  • Desire to work in a role where you are responsible to see ideas through to completion
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and create systems to increase effectiveness
  • Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to collect the information required to understand the clients’ needs
  • Self-motivated with a professional and positive attitude
  • High attention to detail, organization and time management skills
  • High integrity and ability to build trust
  • Strong computer proficiency with willingness to learn new programs
  • Ability to travel into the U.S. (valid passport)
  • Valid Class 5 license and reliable vehicle to use for work
  • Ability to drive and walk in rural and outdoor elements and conditions including construction sites
