Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of an assigned facility, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and workforce development. This role focuses on optimizing operations, mentoring employees, and implementing strategic growth initiatives and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned location or department, addressing business needs such as customer inquiries, employee concerns, and facility issues.

Oversee hiring and training for direct reports, including conducting interviews, performance evaluations, and setting professional development goals. Provide mentorship and coaching to technicians, assess work quality, and implement training programs to enhance performance and productivity.

Recommend staffing decisions, including promotions, transfers, hiring, or terminations.

Organize work schedules for the local team and collaborate with other managers to coordinate larger projects.

Apply industry expertise to provide technical and practical solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. Prepare and review job quotes, conduct site visits, analyze test reports, and ensure high-quality project execution.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring a high level of service and communication.

Monitor and evaluate job performance to ensure projects meet or exceed profitability targets.

Work alongside leadership to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational success.

Prepare reports and documentation as needed.

Partner with the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) team to establish and maintain strong safety practices, minimizing risk exposure.

Maintain flexibility in work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs.

Ensure all work and decisions comply with regulatory laws and industry standards.

Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and best practices.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards, including NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA.

Expertise in heavy industrial, utility, large commercial, and renewable energy sectors, with the ability to troubleshoot complex business challenges.

Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to electrical safety protocols.

Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing employees.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Customer-focused approach, with the ability to collaborate across different teams.

High attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in work execution.

For roles requiring the use of a company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is necessary.
Additional Information:Job: Full-Time
Compensation: Base salary up to $160k plus eligible for 15% bonus. Negotiable for the right candidate.
