OBJECTIVE:

Manage your assigned territories personnel with a goal of technology mastery to deliver world class technology experiences that improve the lives of our people and partners.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee the daily tasks of Technical Project Managers while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
  • Manage territory project workload and assist PMO in project assignment strategy for maximum customer satisfaction and overall CEC efficiencies
  • Hold regular team meetings to determine progress of quarterly goals and address any questions or challenges regarding projects and personnel
  • Research and evaluate tool and technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company
  • Recruit exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within Operations territory
  • Build teams within assigned territory with multiple technology focus and required industry certifications, each territory is required Bicsi Installer, Bicsi Technician, CTS, Rauland and NICET II certifications
  • Inspire and motivate employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives
  • Identifying potential problems and points of friction and work to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue
  • Manage staff levels per Suite forecast, wages, personnel utilization, OT hours and all Operations metrics
  • Assign CEC company vehicles and ensure proper maintenance
  • Serve as escalation point of contact when there are customer issues related to project quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site.
  • Work closely with GM and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, standards and systems
  • Work closely with the inventory manager and team to perform analysis of our project inventory to ensure timely delivery and limit aged inventory.
  • Communicate with safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations
  • Ensure hourly team members and salary team members are entering time daily with detailed notes and approve weekly timesheets and expense reports for accuracy.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises, Operations personnel in the assigned CEC offices. Operations Manager will provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of field staff to achieve operational goals. Daily supervision of non-assigned personnel on assigned projects will be as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within CEC or similar company
  • 2 safety related certifications
  • 2 proficiency in a CEC Technology – proficiency is determined by CEC Operations Managers.
  • 2 Industry certifications (i.e. NICET, Bicsi, CTS, etc.)
  • 5 CEC Business training session
  • 5 CEC Leadership training session
  • Industry certifications and trainings can/will be obtained during the first year of employment to meet the minimum qualifications when applicable.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have strong communication skills and general construction or mechanical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of communications systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.
  • PC proficiency (Windows environment) and working knowledge of Excel is preferred.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
