Our client produces a line of ready-to-drink, highly functional, proprietary mushroom elixirs which are first movers in an exploding category. Revenue for this category is projected to exceed $86 billion worldwide by 2026. They are poised to capture a significant share of this market, and are seeking an experienced, highly passionate operations professional.


Overview:
Manage overall operations function, with an initial concentration on production, inventory, forecasting and logistics. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced beverage professional with a strong background and history of managing operations in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor all beverage operations
  • Manage all inventory of and procure all raw materials and packaging materials
  • Communicate with vendors, co-packers, warehouses and transportation companies to ensure efficient and cost-effective production and deliveries of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with leadership team on production planning and forecasting
  • Manage and assist co-packers during production runs to ensure compliance with company standards, policies, procedures and FDA mandated Good Manufacturing practices.
  • Oversee the entire production and packaging processes
  • Lead & drive continuous improvement activities across all aspects of production
  • Create and review SOPs routinely to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence
  • Manage production/operations budget and constantly seek to reduce costs, secure favorable rates and carrier routes
  • Ensure all safety protocols are observed in production facilities
  • Manage and report out inventory monthly to leadership team by working with sales and marketing
  • Manage and execute necessary information for all product certifications
  • Analyze operational data frequently and share with leadership team
  • Manage all sourcing, procurement and contract negotiations with vendors

Requirements

  • Must have experience working for a beverage company
  • 10+ years of experience in Operations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter and desire to work in fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Very detail oriented
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
