The Nuevo Laredo Engineering Center (NLEC) Operations Manager is responsible for managing the building, equipment infrastructure, facilities maintenance, and security at the NLEC. Provides leadership to Air and Water engineering teams with planning, risk management, timely execution of capital investments needs, and conduct of periodic update meetings to share status and forward-looking ideas and plans.

This position will serve our Air and Water Divisions, located in Laredo, Texas.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage all building & equipment infrastructure, capital projects, facilities maintenance, and security for Nuevo Laredo Engineering Center (NLEC) facility.
  • Provide leadership to Air and Water engineering teams with planning, risk management, and timely business case development and execution of capital investments needs. Conduct periodic update meetings to share status and forward-looking ideas and plans.
  • Working collaboratively with Air and Water engineering leaders with focus on continuous planning of NLEC infrastructure needs supporting product development and technology activities.
  • Engage with Air and Water engineering leaders to determine number of personnel needed to support key objectives and activities within the NLEC, while considering such factors as work to be accomplished, skill set of personnel, present workload, and contractual limitations.
  • Support development of performance metrics, training of personnel, maintenance and improvements of costs, control of quality and quantity of work of employees, and waste elimination.
  • Provide mitigation and solutions for issues that arise with regard to site management, capital project management, product development testing and reliability testing activities.
  • Engage with Air and Water engineering leaders to develop, maintain, and adhere to department expense and capital budgets.
  • Establish and maintain outreach to external research laboratories and universities, and outside vendors to engage and remain abreast of technical advancements within related industries and our industry.
  • Provide and manage cross business engineering collaborations to share technology bodies of knowledge for the assistance and networking of enterprise engineering teams.
  • Interpret instructions and company and safety policies to NLEC team members.
