Job Description

Job Description: The On-Time Delivery Specialist reports directly to the Logistics Manager. The Specialist is required to meet production and business requirements.

Essential Functions:

  1. Works closely with team to examine operational drawback issues and provides on-site troubleshooting of floor operations
  2. Coordinates support between site leads and department resources; provides timely updates to workgroups and floor personnel
  3. Creates and instills standard operating procedures critical to warehouse operations
  4. Able to interpret current processes; compiles and analyze data and can effectively communicate information to management
  5. Develops daily/weekly metrics to gauge effectiveness of new and/or current processes
  6. Responsible for tracking data such as KPI’s and/or logistical support issues (short-picks, over-picks, inventory shortages, etc)
  7. Tracks and audits performance issues daily
  8. Evaluates current and/or new processes that increase pick and production efficiencies
  9. Can operate with a high level of autonomy
  10. Able to make sound and timely decisions that may impact floor operations during shift(s).
  11. Ensure compliance to FRA Quality system and actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process including LIT system

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  1. Special projects as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Strong Customer Focus
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  3. Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  4. Excellent PC skills Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred
  5. ERP System Experience preferred
  6. Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business-related discipline or equivalent, relevant experience
  2. Minimum four years in Warehouse Operations and/or Transportation Industry experience

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

  1. Position involves desk work 25% of the time
  2. Ability to lift 50 lb.
  3. Ability to walk / stand for sustained periods of time
  4. Ability to climb ladder at heights 6’ to 12’

VISUAL ACUITY, HEARING, SPEAKING:

  1. Good visual acuity, hearing and speaking is required

ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULING:

  1. Minimal travel is required
  2. Overtime as business needs require
  3. Office environment with daily interaction in warehouse, shipping / receiving dock, and off-site location
  4. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
