Salary: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments to identify the therapeutic care needs, preferences, and goals of each participant.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team (IDT), incorporating patient goals and medical recommendations.
  • Implement and closely document Occupational Therapy interventions in accordance with physician orders and care plans.
  • Use specialized devices, techniques, and activities to support muscle re-education, cognitive function, balance, and endurance.
  • Supervise and provide continuous training to Therapy Assistants to ensure high-quality implementation of Functional Maintenance Programs.
  • Educate staff, participants, and caregivers on occupational therapy strategies relevant to daily interactions and support with participants.
  • Coordinate with IDT members to ensure smooth transitions between care environments such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home settings.
  • Join efforts in end-of-life care planning and support, offering occupational therapy insights to enhance patient comfort and quality of life.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program aligning with AOTA & ACOTE standards
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of employment
  • Minimum of two years of occupational therapy experience, preferably with the frail or elderly population
  • Registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of supervisory experience with proven ability to train and lead a team in a clinical setting
