Occupational Therapist - Acute, $15,000 Sign On!

Amarillo, TX Full-Time Regular $80,000.00 - $132,500.00
Where the Yellow Rose Meets the White Coat: OT in Amarillo
If you’ve ever watched the sunrise over Palo Duro Canyon or felt that steady High Plains wind, you know that Amarillo isn't just a place—it’s a lifestyle. We’re looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist to join a legacy that’s been part of this community for 125 years. This isn't some cold, corporate machine; we’re a 450-bed medical center that blends the grit of a community hospital with the sharp mind of an academic powerhouse. Whether you’re a native Texan or looking to plant new roots where your paycheck actually covers a backyard for the dogs, esta es tu casa.

The Daily Grind (But Smoother)
In our acute care units, we don't believe in the "hamster wheel" of productivity. We trade the frantic pace for patient education and real connection. You’ll lead 5 to 6 evaluations a day, moving through everything from Med/Surg and Ortho to Oncology and Post-Op. For our more seasoned OTs, the ICU and Cardiac units are waiting for your expertise. You’ll be working alongside a massive support system—a crew of 5 OTs, 11 PTs, and nearly 20 support staff—all operating on a consistent Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm schedule. With only one weekend shift every two months, you’ll have plenty of time for Sunday carne asada with the family.

The "Panhandle Proud" Package
We know moving and starting fresh takes more than just a handshake. That’s why we’re putting $15,000 in sign-on cash and $10,000 in relocation assistance on the table to help you get settled under these big Texas skies. Your base salary starts between $80,000 and $117,500, plus we’ll chip in $300 every single month to help pay down those student loans. Want to stay sharp? We have a 24/7 free gym with CrossFit classes right on-site. And for our New Grads, you won't be thrown to the wolves; our "buddy system" and dedicated preceptor program ensure you’ve always got a partner on the trail.

Life in the 806
Amarillo is the "Golden Spread" for a reason. Here, you get the perks of a mid-sized metro—think thriving arts, local craft breweries, and a deep-rooted faith-based community—without the Dallas traffic or Austin prices. When you aren't at the hospital, you’re hiking the Red Rock trails, horseback riding, or enjoying a world-class steak. It’s a place where "bilingual" is the local language and "neighbor" still means something.

Requirements:
Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist
Acute care experience is preferred
New graduate Occupational Therapists invited to apply
Great attitude with strong interest in working on a large team
A drive to grow into specialty work is a plus
